Experience

My most recent work was on Princeton University’s social media team. It was, simply put, an honor.

Social Media Coordinator: February 2024-September 2024

Contributing to Princeton University’s flagship channels through community management and content creation was an amazing experience. The work was fast-paced and focused, and required me to familiarize myself deeply with a rich culture and set of terminology, being new to the higher education space and to Princeton itself. I particularly enjoyed finding stories of Princetonians’ amazing achievements across social channels to highlight in future content.

My responsibilities included:

  • Monitoring engagement and respond when needed to comments and queries

  • Moderating comment sections, inboxes, and Facebook group to ensure users are following the Community Management Guidelines

  • Surfacing notable achievements and stories from community members to interact with, amplify, and use for future storytelling

  • Drafting content for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn and scheduled out posting calendars

I had a blast being a part of the Social Summer Camp team!

Account Manager & Social Media Associate: November 2020-February 2024

This position was the perfect fuse of my passions: social media and summer camp! Being the team’s first member outside of Texas was an honor, and was especially exciting for my clients located in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Over the years, I both built on my organic and paid social media experience and gained new experience with Google Ads and Analytics and email drip campaign creation. The company’s environment allowed me to expand my abilities, learn new ones, and spearhead our Indeed and online hiring services. This was a thrilling new company service and let me bring my experience with both sides of hiring and interviewing in college to my clients’ staffing needs. This team and these responsibilities make me one happy camper!

My Responsibilities includeD:

  • Managing accounts, creating organic and paid content for Facebook and Instagram

  • Creating content focused on clients' unique programming and features, registration and touring periods, lead conversion and retargeting, and alumni engagement

  • Running paid and nonprofit Google Ad accounts to keep up with increasing demand

  • Building out informative drip email campaigns for leads and prospective customers to introduce them to clients’ missions and features

  • Spearheading company's Indeed and online hiring service and presenting my learnings to American Camp Association members multiple times

  • Increasing company's use and knowledge of UTM parameters

  • Maintaining positive and collaborative relationships with clients

Experiential Learning!

Experiential Learning!

I’m very grateful to have graduated with 19 months of full-time professional experience thanks to Northeastern’s Co-op Program.

Wayfair: January-June 2017

My first co-op was at Wayfair, where I was a member of the Social and App Team in the Digital Marketing Department. I adored the youthful and energetic environment, networking with dozens of other co-ops, and seeing how an online-based company established itself as a digital leader, in part due to its phenomenal social marketing. Applying my previous social media manager experience to accounts that had millions of followers was daunting, but I learned so much and gained confidence.

My Responsibilities included:

  • Creating daily content for Wayfair US and CA’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest pages

  • Analyzing and bidding on Wayfair US’s paid ads on Pinterest

  • Piloting and directing the Wayfair App’s Apple Store moderation program, responding to customer reviews

  • Creating social content for high profile partnerships, notably HGTV’s Brother vs. Brother program

Boston Consulting Group: January-July 2018, January-June 2019

My second and third co-ops were at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where I sat on the Digital Experience team as a Social Media Co-op in the (you guessed it) Global Marketing Department. In case my return co-op doesn’t make it obvious, I ADORED these co-ops. I was the social media team rep for projects that involved dozens of people around the world, taught marketing managers in multiple countries how to use our new design templates on Photoshop, researched a podcast ecosystem, and even onboarded a new co-op. My team had my back from Day One, constantly giving me advice on how to be a better public speaker, how to take pride in my work, and exposing me to aspects of Marketing that I had never touched.

My Responsibilities included:

  • Directing, leading content creation, publishing, and monitoring the social arm of the monthly "How to by BCG" campaign on Twitter, and as of June 2019, on LinkedIn and Facebook

  • Collaborating with co-workers on evolving the brand's asset systems and cross-channel global campaigns

  • Writing and publishing daily content for the BCG Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook pages, as well as the BCG Henderson Institute Twitter page in the first half of 2018

  • Helping onboard new team members and training Practice Area marketers in Sprinklr and Photoshop best practices

  • Directing, leading content creation, publishing monitored, and reporting on monthly Twitter and LinkedIn ad campaigns

  • Researching and proposing a thought leadership podcast initiative

  • Coordinating content priorities and schedules with a freelance writer

While my title for all three co-ops was nearly identical, I applied and learned vastly different skills in each round, and gained hands-on experience in a multitude of sections of Marketing. My co-ops were nothing short of incredible, and I’m so grateful to have this experience as I transition into post-grad life.

Beyond my co-ops, I also have experience in digital marketing for Spoon University and Northeastern’s Explore Program.

Northeastern University Explore Program: September 2016-May 2020

In the Explore Program (Northeastern’s program for undeclared students), I was a Communications Coordinator, Teaching Assistant, and Peer Mentor. Having entered college undeclared, the program’s resources, advisors, and mentors helped me discover an academic and professional path that I didn’t even know existed going into college. Since then, my roles in the program allowed me to be a mentor for other undeclared students, foster a supportive environment for students that needed help navigating all that Northeastern has to offer, and speak about my Northeastern experience to prospective students and families at various events. I also helped revamp the program’s website and communications efforts, managing the program’s blog for a year and helping pilot an email communications plan for the 2020 admissions cycle.

My Responsibilities included:

  • Advised undeclared students in a freshman seminar class and connect with students to discuss their college transition

  • Enacted an email communications plan for the 2020 admissions cycle

  • Recruited student and alumni writers for the program's blog, communicated expectations and deadlines, edited, and posted entries

  • Maintained student and alumni profiles on a WordPress site

  • Spoke with prospective families and students at in-person welcome events, on an accepted students webinar, and in phone calls, detailing my Northeastern journey and explaining how the Explore Program works

Spoon University - Northeastern: September 2015-April 2017

In Northeastern’s Spoon University Chapter, I was a General Member and Community Management Director. Getting to work with peers who geeked out over food as much as I did was a great way to learn more about Boston’s culinary scene, make new friends, and see how to combine my passion for social media and writing with my love for food.
